Well, we've had such a beautiful time on the BACKYARD WONDER mini tour so far… I'm so grateful for the band who have helped me bring my album to life.
We have had such warm audiences- actively engaged and joining in on a few songs too.
There's something magical- intangible- in live music performance. Some call it the wairua, or spirit, some, the ihi, wehi and wana. I think when you are doing something creative that you love, you are literally buzzing at a higher frequency. I'm reminded that I'm doing exactly what I'm meant to be doing and it's such a joyous experience.
Our next gig is in Greytown this Saturday (4th of Oct) and I think it's going to be a really great one- to play locally- it's quite a different experience!
This will be the last full- length gig that we do as a band, playing THE BACKYARD WONDER from start to finish. I really hope you can join us.
The one after that will be at the end of October at Wellington Folk Festival on Labour Weekend.
