PICK UP TRUCK
Well she took off into the haze, in the hopes of better days.
She waved good-bye and turned the music up, then hit the road in her pick-up truck
aaah
Taking aim on her new life. She’s no-one’s woman, she’s no-one’s wife.
Got no possessions, no more career- but, the sky’s the limit if you don’t have fear.
aaah
Hey babe it doesn’t really matter if it doesn’t really go your way
Life’s never easy, don’t look back or you’ll go crazy- Don’t you take the blame.
Just get in that pick up truck and go and meet the day
And I’ll see you down the end of the road someday.
Out in the black she’s not alone, with sleeping bag, the stars and moon.
Getting in touch with her higher self. She knew her anger was a cry for help.
aaah.
Then in the morning, waking up. She drinks her coffee from a paper cup.
The sun is rising and it’s sinking in. She never felt so good, she wants to spin around.
Hey babe it doesn’t really matter if it doesn’t really go your way
Life’s never easy, don’t look back or you’ll go crazy- Don’t you take the blame.
Just get in that pick up truck and go and meet the day
And I’ll see you down the end of the road someday.
ah ah ah ah ah aaaaaah
ah ah ah ah ah aaaaaah
Hey babe it doesn’t really matter if it doesn’t really go your way
Life’s never easy, don’t look back or you’ll go crazy- Don’t you take the blame.
Just get in that pick up truck and go and meet the day
And I’ll see you down the end of the road someday.
